On the main screen of SM how can I quickly search for a student without scrolling down?

Type some or part of their surname and the list will jump to them. To start a new search use the Backspace key to remove the previous search.

How can I quickly sort the columns on the first Student Manager screen?

Left click the title of the column you wish to sort by.

Is there a way to alter how and what appears on the first Student Manager screen?

Use the View menu (top left of screen) to select what you wish to appear and in what order.

When doing a User Defined List how do I get it to show in Alphabetical order?

Within the Properties and Utilities box click on the Priority Tab, select the Family Name and move it to show in the right hand box. Sort by Ascending.

How do I determine the Eldest and Youngest?

Go to Utilities, Family Utilities and run Process 1 and 2.

How do I make Mum and Dad receive Reports and Invoices each?

Click on Mailing Details button on the students Personal details page and put Yes into the Reports and Invoices box.

How do I set Default information on the Personal Details page for new enrolments?

Click on Edit/Add Student then click on the Add Student button. Click on the Default data tab and you can then see the columns you can edit. Remember to click on the Save Defaults button when you exit.

How do I get phone numbers on our user defined list?

Click on the Add a script column then click on the {a} in the tool bar. Click the Caregivers tab and select the caregiver you require in Step 1. Phone numbers etc can now be selected.

How do I remove a transaction on a students financials page?

Highlight the Billable item and then click on the D (kiwi) on the bottom left hand corner. In Step 1, check the percentage is set at 100. Step 2, type in an explanation as to why this is being done. Step 3, click on the Exemption button.

How do I view my leavers after I have transferred them out?

Click on Change Databases on the front page of SM and then choose the cmlv200?.mdb.

How do I print a list of students who started at a certain date?

Click on Printing > Special Lists > Who was enrolled as at…? Select the date.

What is a User Defined List?

This area is used to create a wide range of lists from within the data held in your MUSAC database. There are two types of columns you can insert into your list.

1 Database = Personal information eg. name, address etc.
2 Script = these are calculated fields eg. financial information etc.
